Halter Breaking Day 3

March 23, 2016

Well, so far the process is going smoothly.  The calves have been tied up for a couple of days and seem to be learning that we are going to be friends.  We have been brushing them to let them know that it is a good thing to be around us.  The weather thankfully has cooperated and it has not rained.  So, we are looking forward to starting to lead them here in a couple more days.  As soon as we can feel comfortable with them we hope to get the kids out there brushing them.  Safety comes first here so Mama makes sure that they are nice and gentle before we allow the kids to get around them.  But I think we are making great progress.
